Rotten exhaust flanges
My flanges that connect before and after the cat are rotted. I'm sure a few of you have been down this road before. Would you mind sharing your best most affordable plan of attack for fixing this? btw someone has already deleted the resonator. TIA

Re: Rotten exhaust flanges
There are a few options you could explore. When that happened to me I replaced the factory cat with a Magnaflow 2-1 piece (P/N 94007 I believe), welded to the factory mid-pipe and connected to the pre-cats with flexible tubing. I don't entirely recommend this approach as the pre-cat pipes aren't entirely circular making a seal quite difficult. Also the flex tubing isn't very robust and I had to replace it once or twice a year.
It may be possible to use some repair flanges, like these: If there is enough sound metal remaining these could be welded on in place of the original flanges. The most expensive but probably best/longest lasting solution would be to have an exhaust shop build up a replacement. They could add a resonator in while they're at it if you were so inclined. This is the path I went in the end to resolve the problem for good.

Re: Rotten exhaust flanges
The problem is that after the pre-cats the factory pipes are 1.61", not an easy size to replicate.
If you have a good exhaust guy he can cut off the last of the pre-cat and weld in an S shaped 2" tube and go with the previously mentioned 94007. When I make them I use galvanized 2" J bends from summit. Two Js = two S bends. This would also be a good time to reinstall a resonator/glasspack.

Re: Rotten exhaust flanges
Didn't H&S build the scoobysport exhausts previously? I haven't heard much of them in the last few years.
