Koni Inserts w/stock springs??
I should have asked this earlier after I bought Konis from another member on the website, but I was planning on reusing the stock springs...I bought new mounts and ready to work on this at the end of the week, but now I'm second guessing myself if stock springs can be used?
Can someone confirm this, yes or no and if I have to get new springs, who's got the best deal? |

You can definitely use the stock springs.
Actually, unless you want to spend kind of a lot of money, you kind of have to. Not exactly a lot of choices out there.

Ok that's what I hoped for...I wanted koni, but didn't plan on GC...was planning on just reusing the stock spring. I guess my main concern is using the same components other than the strut housing. I bought all new components like strut mounts, helpers, and rubber seats.

You could have your stock springs powdercoated while they're off, just to freshen them up. Springs don't really "go bad" like other car parts except that they can start to sag a little, so I don't see any reason to change them unless there's clearly something wrong with them or you just really want to change the handling of the car.
I bet you'll have a lot less rattling/jiggling with all the stuff you're changing out. Good for you, man.

I don't use stock springs or GC's with my Koni's.

Yes I have to change out something. I think my mounts are bad because I have the clunks and rattles while going over anything. I know the feel will definitely improve as well. I'm sure powder coating the springs would be nice too but didn't want to take the extra time since I am going to drive the car shortly after again and I don't see the springs anyways to really spend the time to dress them up if you know what I mean.
