Re: Will These Fit?????
As a general rule, different sizes front/rear are a bad idea on an AWD car, unless you really like replacing transmissions. However, (and this is just my opinion, other people may strongly disagree), if the sizes are chosen carefully then it can be done. That being said, there are a few problems with that size.
They're much taller than stock (over an inch), and when combined with the extra width and lower offset I'd bet money on the rears at least rubbing the fenders heavily. Also, there's about a 0.3" diameter difference between your tire sizes. Running a 255 width rear brings the difference down to 0.1". Overall I think not the best choice. Are you in a position to trial fit them first?

Re: Will These Fit?????
245/45/16 could be done...but Tire Rack only lists 9 tires in that size, 6 of which are track tires, and it's not really the ideal size on our rims, they tires would be quite wallow-y. On stock rims your best bet would be some really good 225/50/16's. Bridgestone RE-11's, Dunlop Z1 Star Specs, BFG G-Force KDW's...
If you like wide tires, I'm running 245/40/17's on my STi BBS rims (which are 17x8, +53). If I could throw away several thousand dollars, my wheel/tire setup would be bronze Volk TE-37's, 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear, with 245/40/18 and 275/35/18 Dunlop Z1 Star Specs.

Re: Will These Fit?????
I've put 245/45/16 on our SVXi for years and they are fine.
My son Nick has 245/50/16s on his stock wheels for a while now. I know the tire is huge and I would never put that with a stock transmission, but with his 4.44s it is not an issue, and it makes the speedometer much closer to actual speed. ![]()

Re: Will These Fit?????
I'm running 255/40-17 on Mustang rims as street tires. You can definitely run 275/45-16 tires if you're willing to work with the body a bit
