Well, all you can really do is hope for the best. Personally, I think dwelling on the negative side of things will only give you negative results. All you can do at this point (with the job) is show you're committed and down to stay for the long haul. As for the martial situation, Im really no help because im no good at relationships. All I can say is dont remain with some one if they truley make you unhappy, your kids will understand and only want whats best for the both of you.

Hi Sean,
sorry to hear/read this. Been there myself. At 14 & 16 the kids will be able to handle things better than you think they would. Its only castles burning. Maybe she we will come around. I have seen it happen before.

Sean, hang in there buddy.
Two weeks ago i got my divorce from my wife of 17 years after 12 moths of separation.My son is 16 and is taking it as a champ,doesn't blame either of us for the situation.IM making sure i have very good contact with him,we share custody. Im lucky we did it without lawyers envolved,no alimony or child support either. If you and your wife can talk and act as two adults,you should be able to work it out without a lot of drama.Your kids will be fine as long as you have good contact with them (living 2 hrs from them will not help unfortunetlly). I hope your job situation will improve,but if not you may have better outcome with child support and alimony . Be strong. Bart.
