Vendors for transmission resistor
Hi all,
I'm looking to pick up a new spec transmission resistor. Any suggestions where I could pick one up or order one? Thanks!

How do you know when your resistor needs to be replaced?

Your transmission will shift abruptly, you will lose engine braking (put the shifter in '3' going down a hill and take foot off the gas; your revs will plummet), and most noteably your Power light will flash 16 times upon startup. This notifies you that there is a transmission fault.

If you remove the two 10mm head bolts that hold it in, you can check the resistance with an ohmmeter. Good stock resistors will test at, or very close to 12 ohms. Factory range is 9-15 ohms. If it reads as an open circuit then it is very bad.
