Holy 56K death Batman!

I think that's the "before" picture, Earl.

Nice paint job, any engine pictures?

The car looks absolutely gourgous. I like the paint scheme....Just curious, whats the hazey spot ont he drivers fender? Is that something that can be taken out with a little 1500 wet sand and buff?
And the 3.90 trans..what did that come out of? Or did you mean the factory 3.54? If it is a replacement, how many miles are on the tranny? Any engine pictures?

not meaning to pick you apart at all, just figured answers might shed a little light for potential buyers. Good luck with the sale!

Right above the picture in question,

I wrote "before paint" to basically show that the car has NOT been paited to cover up anything, but bad oxidation.

Plus, I haven't seen this style of paint job yet, and since the roof and trunk were black,

I figured I would follow the existing body line.

IMO, I think its looks as though it should've been painted like this from the factory

Thx, it might be a lil oxidation...

I'm gonna get the whole thing detailed and buffed, so we'll see if its still there afterwards

If its the "before wheel swap" pic you're refering to...

Then it was probably from my greazy gloves when I was swappin the wheels.

I agree that your color scheme with the Motegi rims has a real clean OEM look to it. The red colour is gorgeous (OEM or Custom?)and painting the hood black is genius. I don't know why more people haven't done that. When I get an SVX of my own, I will seriously consider doing that myself.

About the tranny swap, will that swap prevent the OEM automatic transmission issues that plague the SVX? What difference did your tranny swap make in driveability? I'm surprised that everything matched up. Did you have to do any custom fabrication to complete the swap or was it simply a plug & play?

Leon

Worth It

Just a peek under the hood confirms that it is a southern car versus a northern car. There is no corrosion or rust visible like you see under the hood of northern cars. To me that would be worth a $1000 over a similar condition northern car.

Ditto. Look under the hood of my car. I've got all sorts of nasty looking brackets and mounts.

They're around number 30 on my list. I'm on number two.

Nice rust free everything is definitely worth a premium, both for looks and for peace of mind that all the metal is solid.

let alone a southern car gives you an excellent oppurtunity to get cozy with your new car on the drive home.
