Unfortunately the epicness seems to be in everything but an SVX

another idea I was thinking about, most likely not very practical but interesting none the less. twin screw blower to give the intitial uumph with twin GT35's the blower helping get them spooling. No need for refilling nos. |

Re: Interesting: twin turbo EG33 into a WRX
There have been some pretty awesome updates on this. Dude's had adjustable cam gears, a dry sump system, and custom cams made.
Anyone want to give me the quick and dirty on dry sump systems?

Re: Interesting: twin turbo EG33 into a WRX
I don't get this at all... Its enough money it makes me wonder why they didn't use a 911 Turbo motor or something like the bespoke V8 built off hyabusa engine specs. The latter is small, light, and since all are "built" you can get one setup for highboost for virtualy the same price as a mild non-turbo.
The SVX motor is good, just a huge pile of money still leaves you with 20 year old metalurgy and head design. Keeping the Subaru engine layout still leaves you with huge wieght entirely forward of the front axle. Which would be fine if you were building a FWD dragrace car, no so much otherwise. |

Re: Interesting: twin turbo EG33 into a WRX
I'll take it I should be getting a big lump sum of money soon Im looking to drop at least 30k into my svx, I hope it all works the way I got this planned cause I was going to use this money for something else but found out some dishearting news and the plans went out the window... So pretty soon I'm going to be looking into a bunch of different builds and see what I want ect. and have some fun with it, cause all I have on my hands is time
