Re: need to get to that fuel pump
Push the little plastic tabs in front of the seat bottom to the side to release the front edge of the seat cushion. Tilt back and then slide forward, may require some jiggling. If you want to remove the seat back tilt it forward and remove the set of small screws holding the trunk carpet to the seat. The lower corners of the seat back carpet are velcro'd down. Pull them back to reveal 2 bolts per side. Remove those and the seat back will come right out.

Re: need to get to that fuel pump
Do you need to remove the back seat?? I thought you could just fold down the rear seat back and unscrew the plastic strip holding the trunk carpet to the seat back.
There will be an oval plate covering the pump area.

Re: need to get to that fuel pump
That's true, it's just under the front of the trunk carpet. Unscrew that strip from the seat, pull the carpet back, voila.
But hey, at least now you know how to take the seat out.

Please remember to open all of the windows and the sunroof, disconnect the battery, have the gas tank FULL before you start, and if you can, use a screwdriver that is brass, or cad-plated to work inside the "explosion box".

Re: need to get to that fuel pump
Thank you very much for the pointers but im basically trying to get to it to check the ground wire to make sure it has a good connection because some days the car will start and some days it wont but if i use a hammer and bang the bottom of the car and turn it over it will start... so im thinking its a loose wire
