PS, Hi R, Hi M!

Oh, yea, married.
mmm side skirts... which reminds me I need to install mine plus bumper...

I washed my SVX yesterday. I also spent my christmas break cleaning my garage so I can get back to my engine build.. which has taken me 4 years since I began... (I really need someone to sit with me and keep me on task... I tend to SQUIRREL!

So I sat for XX hours sorting boxes of SVX parts and then soaking/cleaning misc engine components (brackets, etc) and realized I want to paint some stuff so I ordered some rust seal, chassis top coat, and motor coat from KBS coatings. Now I'm just debating whether I should send my intake to Grimmspeed for PnP or simply clean and paint it myself.

Finally, today I'm organizing my next order for more SVX parts and maybe something for the Forester...

Put down half the cost of having my friends shop do my 5spd swap, some time this month ill be without my svx for a little while but it will totally be worth it.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Upon further cleaning, I found an engine under a solid inch of an oil/dirt mixture.

Today's adventures included a fuel filter, a half hearted throttle body cleaning, an MAF cleaning, and I swapped the Optima battery I had in my battle wagon over for next week's cold snap.

Now that is absolutely the coolest mod I have seen done to a SVX in a really long time.

i have it wired to my head unit. i have a jensen 6.2" touchscreen dvd/nav/radio mounted in the stock location. it cost a little over $300 and is much nicer than the $600 plus one i bought a few years back. it can do high def video on three separate channels.

here is link to camera. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/back-up-...mera&cp=1&lp=6

it is not wireless, most of the wireless ones have a tendency to cut out when they have any interference. picture quality is not great but seems to be on par with most other cameras.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Replaced my Rear Speakers (With these: http://www.fusionelectronics.com/car...nter/en-fr6931 )

Completely rebuilt my rear deck. Removed the material, disassembled the speaker grills, washed the rear deck material and the speaker material in the washing machine (it came out really well). Glued material to deck with spray adhesive. Cleaned and siliconed all vinyl and plastic pieces. Spray painted metal grills black. Disassembled, cleaned and tested my Ionizer.

Big job (Didn't really need doing).. But I had fun.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

A customized 350z exhaust system in my SVX today... LOVE IT so far.
BUT i feel the car lost some kick from the old system. It seems the EG33 loves open systems especially for highways.

Why I replaced my old one (Not OEM for those who don't know), it had a very annoying sound, and not really suitable for daily driving. Now I enjoy driving the car much better.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Did a few concept sketches of SVX body modification, organized tools so this weekend when it's not -eleventybilliondegrees I can start pulling the rear end apart to drop the subframe and tank.

I also need to install the transmission heater on the Legacy so it's not as hateful on these cold morning.
