98 legacy outback, rare failure
Hi there, My 98 legacy outback is shaking from side to side only when pushing gas pedal or totally released gas pedal, not in the middle. This happens only between 90 and 110km/h. When i use lower octane gas, the shaking sensation lowers also. I had all tires balanced, clean injectors, change sparks plugs, checked vacuum, checked compression and replaced the drive shaft but problem continues. Does somebody knows about the torque converter? may it be the cause?

C/V axle or motor mounts. Can't really think of anything else.

Does it seem like tire vibration?
Have you ever had "Fix a Flat" in your tires?
