Replace the ext filter with another Subaru one, or is there an alternative? Part #'s?

Could you expand on the sliplock at bit? How much of each fluid in the front diff and #'s for both the sliplock and what oil you put in there? Sorry for the dumb questions, but I've never even touched the front diff or sure how to fill it, but I'd like to start doing more of this stuff.
