Re: different hoods
I don't think any other stock hoods fit, but there is at least one aftermarket one that I know of. Lighter weight, and with a hood scoop. Not sure if the scoop is functional or not.

Re: different hoods
No offense, but just look at the two cars. I'm not sure how you could think there is any possibility that they are interchangeable.

Re: different hoods
Well define "fit"....I mean, I'm pretty sure I could get the hood from a Suburban to fit my SVX. It might involve the use of several ratchet straps....but it would stay on!

The original bailing wire used 100 years ago was replaced by duct tape, but when we started buying everything we own from China, they came up with the ultimate... Zip Ties! It would take a whole boat load of Duct Tape to do the jobs that we can do with a small box of Zip Ties. Bailing wire is no longer a consideration because the cars they ship over now are all made from old rusty Bailing wire! Keith |

What color is your car??? I have a black hood thats straight and in fair shape. If you're interested, I could meet you in northern Indiana on my way to the Reading meet in April.

Re: different hoods
My first SVX had a fist sized ding in the front of the hood that really bothered me. I found a bra for the hood only, not the rest of the nose. It covered the hood for about 8" back from the leading edge and hid the dent completely.
