Went to the Grassroots Motorsports 2012 Challenge this weekend. Parked the SVX by the Grassroots pavilion with the staff parking. Coming back at the lunch break, there were 8 - 10 people around the car. An older man walking in front of me asked, "Is that the new Subaru?". The response was, "Yeah, new in '92!" They then saw my SVX cap and asked if it was mine. Replying yes, they said, "Great car, awesome shape". I guess with the knowing, no need to ask any other questions.

me: "No, it's a Subaru"...then I pop the hood He sees the air intake and looking surprised says "I didn't know Subaru made 6 cyl coupes!" I said "They did it once, lost $75m" Hope they make a Subaru version of the next Supra!

yes I know the other Subaru bearing the Alcyone name
but they guy thinks the SVX is a Mustang...I'm not even going to start explaining to him what the XT was and how it looked

When I was in Hawaii I had some guy pull up next to me at a red light, it was at night and he took one look at my windows and said "Is that a roll cage?" LOL I wish!

Dude smoking a blunt asked me at a stoplight what kind of car it was and informed me that the half-windows are "gangsta sh*t".
A friend of mine and I were sitting in a parking lot in my blue car with it idling. It has a very rumbly idle. "Dude you could charge girls admission just to sit in here." High praise. (because of the cams, not because something's wrong)

Kid : "Excuse me sir, can I ask what kind of car is that?" Me : "It's a Subaru ..." Kid : "A Subaru?" Me : "Yep, a '92 SVX" Kid :  " '92? I'm older than the car? I was born in '91!!"Me : "Thanks, you've officially made me feel old!"  Kid : "That's a nice looking car" Made my day, nice to see it still can attract the eyes of a younger generation!!

my car is referred to as "the time machine" by my friends.
  ... i get a lot of "240 nissan" comments.  ... a couple offers to buy so far, i tell em 10k and we'll talk ...  the best was i was in the in-n-out burger inside waiting for my food during a super-slammed-lunch-rush just standing there people watching... and i see this guy enter, scanning the room as he entered. he sees me, and bee-lines right to me...."hey dude, sweet svx! dont ever sell it!" and turns on his heel and paces right back out before i could even respond....wtf? that means he saw me park, waited to finish his burger, then came inside to find me and tell me, but took off before i could even say thanks.. lol sweeeeeeet! ... "suuu bah rrreww? dang i ain't seens me one of those ones before" lol .... "have you seen that top gear episode?"  .... i just had my keys locked in and AAA came.... "first time breaking into one of these.... towed a few before tho"
