That's what happens to 15 year old, 88k mile idlers. (car was sitting for almost 4-5 years before I picked it up.

Nate,
Check that water pump, that is what happened to my idlers on my first SVX (the Pearly) when the water pump seized up....

It's Nate
But, I was expecting to replace the water pump anyway. It was in fact seized tight.
Thanks for the heads up anyway.

No, that's just the total I've owned. I've been bouncing between a dozen and 15 for about the last year or so. Some are parts cars though and overall aren't in as good of shape.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

-New air filter
-Oil change
-New battery (a few days ago)

After replacing the battery my "Security" light lit up a solid red...so, I'm now in the process of finding a new security module.

Try to fix one thing and, inevitably, something else fails. Gotta love these cars

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Installed some ECUtune updates this morning. I finally upgraded my ECUTune ECU from the Stage 1v5 to the Stage1Av1, and installed the latest update to the ECUTune TCU 4.44 Rom.

R/R the left valve cover gasket to stop an oil leak and tightened the left front disk caliper to get rid of a rattle. Runs like a champ!!

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Washed and waxed the SVX tonight. It was long overdue, I think it was the dirtiest it's ever been. Excuse the garage pics, it was late...
