Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

So is the tread lol. It was the closest matching diameter cause it had less wear than the others I had. I feel sorry for what the tranny dealt with from previous owner. One of the rear tires was a different size and brand when I got it and as I understand that's a recipe for a dead tranny.

Mismatched tires in the rear are especially bad because the rear differential is limited slip, so you should check on that as well. I'm not entirely sure how the limited slip part of it works, but I would bet it could be damaged by mismatched tires. At the very least, I'd change the fluid and check out the old fluid for any particles, etc, if you haven't already.

People throw their weight around here and if you don't throw it back you're liable to get run off the road.
I tend to find myself playing chicken with some ****wad that is going the wrong diection, not stopping when they should, or merge blocking. Haven't lost yet, then again unlike a lot of drivers around here I actually know when I have the right of way.

I am sure you do! Living in Washington state I totally realize what you are talking about. We fly up to Anchorage just for lunch occasionally and we love it. (fish and chips at the downtown pub) People are great, after Washington state especially, and we love it!

Oh yeah people are great, just a lot of very aggressive, raging, show-offish drivers.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Made an appointment with the body shop today to give my SVX some love; dent repair, rear bumper replaced and repainted (thanks Hocrest), left and right rear quarter panel rust repair, and buff and polish the roof. It won't go in till the week after Reading but I'm really looking forward to having that sweet look back.

BTW, a big thanks to Tom K.; the 4.44 has been a blast to drive.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Went through a car wash. Got back to work and realized the license plate had disappeared. Had to go back to the car wash to fetch it. Stopped by Schucks (next to car wash conveniently) and picked up brake lights as one went bad today.

Detailed the engine and interior a bit for 3 hours tonight in preparation for a tint job (finally).

Also the mech that built my trans seems to have relocated my ignitor. Haven't quite located it yet.

Lookin good man. I needa clean mine up too. What's with all the wires around the alternator?

Little bit of input: Paint the dipstick handle and the oil caps black.
