The SVX was driven into my driveway on fire. It took at least twenty minutes of garden hose work to keep the rest of the car from burning to the ground. All of this to save the price of a tow. So rather than the price of a tow, add up a wheel bearing, a rear hub, rear brakes, rear rotor, and if I remember corectly a wheel and tire. Thankfully the Pearlie is now owned by a respected member of the forum and She gets all of the mantainance that She deserves! There was a local SVX owner who was REALLY proud of his , Toyota Corolla radiator at about 2/3rds the size of a real SVX radiator. I understand that people are on a budget, everyone is. And hey, if it were Armageddon and I HAD to get my SVX running to get away from the zombies, then I would take the chance. But they are not here, yet!

You live in Tampa. You are already surrounded by zombies. When you go to the "Try and Save" to pick up lighter fluid, steel wool, toilet paper, 9 volt batteries, cans of tuna, aluminum foil, duct tape, hydrogen peroxide, naptha flakes, bottled water, and such, look into the dead gray eyes of the plaid pants wearing, bananna buying, geriactric consumers. If they are not zombies,,, then I am wrong.

Re: fried ecu?!
In WI, they only offer up to 100 mile tows. Each state AAA policy is different. Just an FYI

Re: fried ecu?!
I have a towing clause on my car insurance policy. And back to the subject. Do you also put pennies in the house fuse sockets?

Re: fried ecu?!
just an FYI
subaru dealership didn't have the link in stock and it'd take them 3 days to get me one so I just bit the bullet and got a 14 gauge fusible wire and took some of the wires out so that it'd be the same size as the blown one(maybe a little thinner) and tried it first with a 20amp fuse, then took it out it's working and the alternator lights are all off should work for a couple of days, 'til I get my legitimate part BACK TO ZOMBIES
