Not today, but last night I finished the wiring for relocating the battery to the trunk in my blue car. Pics: https://picasaweb.google.com/1129523...ocationProject
All that's left is to get a better tie-down. The stock tie-down is too tall for the battery I've got. That one that they sell at advance all the time will probably do the job. I can write up a how-to if anyone's interested. o_o

Yea, no A/C for the time being. On hot days I just use the other car. It really doesn't bother me though. I have all the parts to add A/C back to it, but I'm undecided whether I will or not. Either way, not till after winter
. The bolt thing seems to be working well actually, and it'll be all wrapped up in electrical tape before the days over, just wanted to get a pic of it before that. Yes, that's +.All the electrical stuff actually seems quite a bit stronger since I did this. Car runs just a tad smoother too.

Getting my rear wheel bearing replaced. That's #2 and I think it was replaced already by the previous owner.

Scheduled it to get the cv axle replaced. All I hear is WHOM WHOM WHOM at 60mph and ker-thunk as I turn the wheel at low speeds.
This spring I should have enough to completely restore the car, but sorry ladies, daddy is getting a new car.

Today, I ordered 2 new front sway bar end links, purchased second hand drive shafts (100,000kms) and hood struts from a local who bought a half cut for a VW SVX Van.
 (UPDATE: hood struts are no better than my originals )I also installed new Porsche Purolater oil filter and replaced oil (all by myself)  This week comes the install of the end links and front drive shafts and D bushings. Hope to finally cure front end noise. Still have to get A/C serviced (it is REALLY hot in Australia now) and find some rear struts or inserts before next roadworthy or it will FAIL!  Looking forward to a silent ride. Oh, Happy Birthday to me....

Replaced yet another headlight on the Tribeca. Had to remove the battery to do it. What a PITA!
Pulled the inside panel of the door off and used Quicksteel to repair (I hope) the broken weld inside the door. Thanks to whoever it was that suggested it.

Had the front left CV replaced. Was only in the shop a few hours. $270 later the clicking and shuddering that developed over the weekend is gone, but there is still a low whirring noise...

Not so much what I did to my SVX, more like new accessories I bought for it. Craigslist is great, I found my blue '97 there, chromed SVX wheels and today I picked up an SVX OEM bra and clear headlight protectors along with an original '92 SVX brochure. Even though I will only use the protectors and bra for highway trips and not around town, I am ecstatic
 . All for $100! If anyone wants me to scan the brochure let me know.
