Re: FS: 6-Speed 92 Subaru SVX

Man, don't scrap a running, rust-free car. There are so few anyway, and even fewer with a manual gearbox.

I'd pay the money if I had the money. [as I mutter expletives under my breath at my lack of money.]

Are there no other subaru enthusiasts in your area who could stow the car for you?

people be broke, these days!

Re: FS: 6-Speed 92 Subaru SVX

Trust me if I had a place to store my cars I'd be doing it. I'm also having to sell my 79 trans am, my gf has to sell her first car she's had for like 7 years... it blows.

What option do I have though? Put it in storage for $75 a month where it still won't sell?

If it hasn't sold in the past year, with never more interest than asking for a few pictures, why should it sell it the next year? I can't have it hanging around forever, and besides I need the money. I can get 4 grand for the drive train, easily. It's not what I want to do, but if no one can step up with the cash, it's what I have to do.

Just received an offer for the transmission. If it goes through, the car is going to be parted out.

Perhaps you could swap a cheap auto back in and still manage to sell the car whole.

Re: FS: 6-Speed 92 Subaru SVX

I can't even think how much work and expense it would be to convert it back to auto.

And considering I can't even sell it for $4000 with the 6MT, what am I going to get for it with an auto?

Re: FS: 6-Speed 92 Subaru SVX

Deposit received. Car is no longer up for grabs!

If anyone is interested in my spare parts, you can have EVERYTHING for $400, but you have to pick it up and you have to take everything.

Hood
Fenders
Set of factory wheels
Headlights
Taillights
Seat leather
A bunch of interior trim
Brakes
Struts/Springs
Axles

If no one takes it in one lump I'll put up a for sale thread with all the individual items.

Re: FS: 6-Speed 92 Subaru SVX

I'm curious, did you list it anywhere else? Like craigslist or autotrader or anything? Too bad it doesn't get to stay whole. How much did you get for the tranny?

What color is the hood and how's the paint?

My buddy is interested in the car pretty hard core if the sale doesn't go through. He even actually has money to pay for it LOL.

Good Luck! I hope this sale goes through! You've had the car on the market for awhile :/

Those are additional spare parts I have in the basement, not parts off the car. The deal I've made for the car is for more than the $4000 I was asking for it whole.

It's teal and in pretty good shape... but shipping to florida would be prohibitively expensive I think.
