I dunno what happened. I mean, if I'd had the boot replaced, it might have lasted another 235,000, plus. I'll try to take better care.

I am afraid that me and the wife will not be making it this year either. Seems we have a big family reunion weekend coming up this year and not enough funds to cover both weekend outings. There is always the chance that I may drop in for the day (at least a few hours of it anyway) but I'm not making any promises. Sure will miss it, though.

Giminy Crickets! I just realized that I can probably have my axle done and my black bits painted (Patience has clearcoat cancer on the black) for what it'll cost me in gas to get to Reading this year. SHEESH! Today, 39.30 for a tankful. Last week, 41.75. I don't even wanna think about what prices look like "up yonder!"

Prices in Reading area this week range from 2.499 to 2.699 for hi-test. We are still waiting for the engineers among us to come up with a "runs on rainwater" conversion kit.
