Looking for a TPS
does anyone have a tps laying around that they are willing to sell. I don't have 200$ laying around for a new one, but this is the first step in troubleshooting my problems.

Re: Looking for a TPS
Testing the TPS that you have now with a digital volt meter, is the first step.

Re: Looking for a TPS
So I took the tps to auto zone and had it tested and the guy said that it has no variance at all and deemed it to be bad. It stated at 5.86 throughout the whole movement. Does this sound correct to anyone and does this point to needing a new tps?

Re: Looking for a TPS
Yes, you should get a TPS. Look in the for sale/part out section of the forum and PM the people parting out cars. (People selling stuff tend to rely on getting PMs and emails from people rather than checking the parts wanted section.)
I will look and see if I have an extra one when I get home from work later.

Re: Looking for a TPS
I have an extra one but it came off a unknown parts car and I have no idea if it works or not.

Re: Looking for a TPS
Take a needle and puncture through the white wire....attach the positive red wire "alligator clip" to the needle carefully.. then hook up your black negative wire to the negative battery terminal...a set of alligator clips work great for this.
