Re: Clean 97 SVX wanted
Got a 97 ebony here, five speed swapped, but it won't pass emissions due to CAT, and needs a clutch. Only $3k for it though, and its clean as can be!

Re: Beautiful 97 Ebony Pearl SVX for sale
I've decided to put her on ebay tomorrow, and let her be up for sale until February. I figure if anyone's gonna buy her, it will be after taxtime. If I have nothing by then, then I guess I will have...

Re: Beautiful 97 Ebony Pearl SVX for sale
It also won't pass inspection if you have a visual inspection. Theres no center cat, due to rust. I welded in a Y, a bung, and its straightpiped from there back.
However, an O2 spacer will fix this...

Re: Tach Wire??
Nevermind the question. I've thrown in the towel, and will just use a tachless setup. I've tested it and it works pretty well. Plus, I don't live in a cold climate, so it won't have to worry about...

Re: Going turbo at last!
Just a random update, I've stopped the turbo project until my Legacy 5-Speed swap is complete. However, I am planning on running MegaSquirt for a complete engine management system.

Re: Tach Wire??
I found said wire, and traced it all the way to the instrument cluster. It outputs around 20v AC. The signal I need has to be between 1-6v AC. Any ideas?
EDIT: It also says I can use Oil Pressure...

Tach Wire??
My new alarm system for my SVX requires a tach wire. I've done numerous installs and all the usual things do not work! It says the tach wire should show between 1 and 6v AC depending on revs. I have...

Re: Going turbo at last!
Not going to be using the Stage 2 bits, I'm going to rely strictly on the AFCneo to modify the air signal from the MAF to run the bigger injectors, and I'll be running a "blow-thru" type setup. In...

Re: Going turbo at last!
Since I'm trying to develop a kit for this, I've added a donation button as well, which will go towards producing a working, easy to install kit, among other mods for the SVX.

I'm going to try to do everything whilst taking as many notes as possible, so that I could possibly offer this as a custom kit.

Re: Misfires!
Finally got it sorted, it was a bad COP. Though the resistance tested fine on it, it just wasn't giving quite enough spark. Swapped it with a new one, and it ran great. Thanks for the tips, and help!
