Did I miss something it is now a 5 speed with a bad clutch

I 5 spd swapped it over the summer. He used a cheap clutch against my advice and it did what I expected.

Y did he do it ? He said he had the auto rebuilt by a pro, and added a tranny cooler. Agree the clutch is the place you should not skimp ( it is the weak link )
