Lots of stuff to clear up here. You need to be monitoring the temp in the pan. Cooler line temp means nothing. The SVX stock has a very good transmission temp stabilizing system that works quite well...

No GRN NVY, your trans is correct. There were no 'Y' first generation 4EATs sold in the US and very few have been since imported, yours is correct.

If it is the front diff then it will go from a light knock to a big time noise and vibration in just a few miles. Make sure it has fluid in it. And if it is a 94 LS it wasn't AWD from the factory so...

Are you running a VTD transmission? There is a guy who supposedly put another clutch plate in the high clutch pack but doesn't share the info. I would mod the pump for more pressure.
