Re: Stance GR+ done
The lengths are similar. However the mounting blocks for the brake lines on the STI coilovers are in a different location than that of the svx struts. I just used high temp zip-ties. A staple of the...

Re: Mid Engine SVX concept.
The best airbag method I have found so far is simply a deflated basket ball. Squish it into what ever area you need to push, then inflate it. Easy peasy. And its not likely to be cut by sheet metal...

Re: rear awd subframe
I cant include shipping with that. Its big, bulky and heavy. It would be at least $200 so ship this thing down the street, let alone to another state.

Re: Mid Engine SVX concept.
Hmm. Perhaps USDM cars have a different abs computer. It drives me nuts to the point of just pulling the fuse. With my 92, when one wheel started to slip, the abs would kick in and the pedal would...

Re: Mid Engine SVX concept.
I suppose "Wide" is a relative term when it comes to tires. Im just saying that there is a point when you either stop gaining traction or begin to loose it all together with width. Akerman angle is...

Re: Mid Engine SVX concept.
Agreed with neverlift. The rule on wheel diameter is primarily there to limit the size of the brakes. Kinda like in gravel rally. 15" diameter wheels. You have squeeze some punny brakes in there....

Re: Roll Cage in the SVX
And if you ever get a fixed back seat, I would HIGHLY recommend Momo seats. I tried a few different seats over the years and momo was by far the most back and tushy friendly of the racing seats.

Re: Roll Cage in the SVX
Gotcha. Sounds like you already have a decent plan of attack here. Just use at least .120 wall tube, (DOM only) and you will be good to go for rollover protection. The SVX has a good b pillar...
