I think it'd look pretty cool with the Audi gold color.

I remember when I was younger we had a mid 80's Porsche 911, that was metallic gold, that was a nice colour, would look great on an SVX...especially if the SVX had lambo doors

I emailed the guy and said I had no intention of buying the car, but the gold color sounded nice and asked if I could see pics. No answer, sigh. Maybe I should've lied and said I was a buyer?

Uhm, yeah, I see your point. Maybe a different shade would be more appealing? Hey, you're in OH, I bet that's the same one. Well then, that satisfies my curiosity.

I just like looking at brightly-colored cars, I wouldn't want to own one.

I liked Michelle's bright copper colored SVX.
If the gold color was the right shade, with metallic sparkles, it would probably work on an SVX.

In that pic, the paint just looks like it wasn't done very well. Looks like someone like me, who has zero experience, tried to paint it in their garage over the weekend. I kinda like the shade, it just needs more quality, metal flake in the clear coat, a black top, and maybe paint the wheels to match. Then, I think it would be a much better looking car.

But if it were gold like this one, it'd be even better.

Gold SVX

The picture of that Gold SVX in Ohio doesn't look that good because it does look like it was a bad quality paint job (I agree).

I commend them for trying something different and original though. IMHO I think it would look better with less yellow in the gold. More of a champagne colored silver/gold would work better. Similar to my 1992 Dodge Stealth R/T. Stealth came in a shade of Sandstorm Metallic.

The paint quality on that picture looks bad and the yellowish gold may not be the best, but its all opinions anyway. Glad to see someone trying something different though.

Thumbs down Talked with guy who owns the gold SVX

I talked with the owner. He said the car was originally white and doesn't know of any of the repairs or receipts. He said the car was hit. He bought a fender and light and I got it painted gold. He wasn't enthusiastic about the condition of the car although he want almost $7,000 grand for it.

That SVX in that picture is actually down in South Eastern WV (not the same one as the one in reference to this topic.) My overall feel from the car was that the paint job was low quality and that the car wasn't very well maintained.

Personally, if I were to repaint an SVX, I would go with silver, but since you can get one in that from factory....
