USE of Chat

hello all I was just wondering why none of you ever use the chat feature?

I downloaded the file for chat, but it never has worked. I've been using Netscape 6. Could that be the problem?

Steve, I use Netscape 6 at the office without problems. I have also used IE 5. E-mail Chris. Maybe he can walk you through it. As for using chat, I stop in often. But, it hasn't been too busy -- I'd like for all to get familiar with it though, so we can "rock the house" on the 15th.

Check your settings. Java must be enabled or it wont work. The other option is to download mirc or pirch. I do however, only recommend this for seroius chatters or people that are familiar with IRC.

I caaaaaan't, waaaaaaaaaaahhh!

It comes up to 'loading java applet' page. Then, zero, nada, nichts, nothing. Java is enabled. What next?

1. download Mirc http://www.mirc.com/get.html
2. when mirc options pops up click ADD
3. fill in -description- SVX CHAT
-irc cerver- irc.subaru-svx.net
leave the rest
4. fill in name, email, and create a user name (wasions)
5. click connect to IRC server
6. MIRC channels pops up click ADD
7. channel and description both should be #SVX
8. JOIN
9. CHAT AWAY!!!

hope this helps I did it again on my mirc so that i wouldnt miss any steps.. with this 'tutorial' it should be fairly easy
