IF... just askin'

IF I could put together a small "Reading" meet as we traditionally remember it, at the Holiday Inn on April, 27-29, who would be interested in showing up? Like the impromptu first Reading meet. No events or itinerary scheduled, just the members who remember how great it was not to do anything but connect with old friends and relive happy memories. No time for a block of room or a formal signup list. Time is of the essence; just settle on a date and then individual call-ins to reserve a room. Sure we will have time for a scenic drive and group dinner. The alternative date would be the following weekend, May 4-6, 2018. .

I'm in. While I'm sure the hill climb event — or maybe it should be named the “Pagoda Meet”— will be a decent enough event, it strays beyond what the Reading Meet has become over the years. It is centered around the hill climb and the padoga, as opposed to the actual people. I'm in.

Rosie and I are in for April. August 17th is our 49th wedding anniversary so an SVX meet is definitely out for us. We are going to play "President & Porn Star" that weekend. I'm not sayin' who is who.

Based on previous posts and emails I have received, What if we changed it to May 4-6, 2018? Would more be able to attend? The weather may have improved a bit Rooms are available for both dates at the Morgantown Holiday Inn. 2-queen beds, non smoking, $132.00 per night plus tax. $146.54/ night total. I can't attend May 4-6 as I'll be in Chicago for work. If I can figure out a way, I can maybe visit a day. Also, my car currently is down as I'm waiting on the radiator to be made/arrive so I wouldn't have been able to bring it anyway.
