I have a general car guy question. I have a 2000 jimmy 190,000, it wont start, doesnt even turn over is it the starter?

that would point to a low charged battery or something else causing there not to be enough charge getting to the starter.

Also, depending on what theftlock system you have, its possible that could be an issue. There have been huge issues with the GM anti theft crap in many different models. Do you have the dual keys or the single key for yours? the biggest issues were in the dual key cars that had the little chip on the ignition key.

it's a single key and the battery died shortly after I posted, so I'm hoping it's just that.

Yep, that was my first guess and should solve it. Just curious what kinda gas mileage you get out of it if you keep track? Also, do you pull anything with it? I had thought about getting one or a blazer a few years back. I assume a 4.3 vortec V6 and auto trans in it.
