Re: HELP!!! It's my car man. My car!!!
Could be a vacuum hose off, a bad plug wire, bad MAF, or other things, hopefully somebody else can chime in with more information.

It could be the TPS needing adjusting ? Just a guess, when the MAF goes usually it will die randomly.

Re: HELP!!! It's my car man. My car!!!
Well can't find or i don't have an OBD port to check for codes. It seems that the previous owner did something to it during the swap. It might be a vaccum leak because there are some tubes that have bolts in them (2 cut tubes). Does anyone know any other way to scan the car? Thanks

Re: HELP!!! It's my car man. My car!!!
welcome to the SVX....I was/am in the same boat....You do have a way to check for codes on eveything on the car I beleive....Look at the fuse panel down by your left foot, and take off the kick panel...Look for 2 loose wires with bare ends on them and a big black plug with nothing attached to it....Stick one of the wires into the big connector 2nd hole from the left with the notch on the big plug pointing up....Turn key on and count the blinking light on the dash....Long flash is 10`s and short one are 1`s.....
The people here are VERRY helpfull so be as precise as possible on your explanation.... Mine is coming around with there help.... Paul..... Last edited by stuartracing; 01-29-2009 at 05:21 PM. Reason: Wrong letter in svx |

Re: HELP!!! It's my car man. My car!!!
Well, I was not able to check the codes due to missing two wire use for reading the codes. I dont know if the it was rewired or maybe i am not looking in the right place. I will have some pics of that area soon.

they'll be taped together if they've never been used before. There should be absolutely no reason for them to have been removed...

Re: HELP!!! It's my car man. My car!!!
They may be near the steering column. Take the plastic trim off from under the dash, just above your feet, and lay on the floor and look up there. They may be taped up and they may be on the top side of the steering column.
