Re: my 97 ebony on ebay...no reserve

well nobody had interest when i asked $5000 obro

i have it listed locally for 4500

ive had no less than a dozen local people ask if i accepted payments and that certainly wasnt gonna happen...(they pretty much got the same response... get a loan, smoke some pole, or rob a bank... i dont care where it comes from, im not a credit union )

right now i have exactly 60 people watching the auction so its looking good for ebay

and ive answered several emails from ebay as well so im hoping itll come near the 4 grand mark sometime this weekend

if 4500 came my way and cleared before the end of the auction, id end it early

Re: my 97 ebony on ebay...no reserve

you should end the auction and sell the see one first. Its gonna bring you a high return and set a better tone for the danny one.
You may be dis-serving yourself.

You could easily shop for cheaper if you can find the right company! Granted, the buyer would likely have to foot the bill. I've worked in shipping where it costs twice as much to ship Iowa than to Washington state (from Wisconsin). Why? because the company had a regular route to Washington where the vehicle could hitch a ride where as nothing ever goes through Iowa..... so often, distance is irrelevant....

well i figure all the people that get interested in this one and lose on bidding
would be REALLY interested in a nicer red one.... as opposed to having them settle on the black one after losing the red one

if they try and get outbid last second on the black one, they will feel better to have the oppertunity to get a nice red one, and they might consider being more agressive in the bidding as to not let the nicer one get away the second time around

both are nice cars but i would rather offer a steak to people fighting for a hamburger than offer a burger to people fighting for a steak

...ive made myself hungry...if anyone needs me ill be at the foreman grill

Re: my 97 ebony on ebay...no reserve

I dont agree.

The high mileage 96 will not fetch nearly as much as a low miles 97.
After bids are final on the 96 ($4500 max maybe), it could be argued that the 97, being just one year older, should fetch just $1500 more.

However, if the auction were reversed and the 97 went first, then after final bids on the 97 ($20,000 likely), you could argue that the 96, eventhough it has high miles, should fetch no more than say 8K less than the 96 that just sold for 20K. Thus you will have increased you total return by a lot.

Please end the auction and reverse the order. And dont decide to not reverse the order just because the idea came from me, a person that is obviously not liked a lot in this forum.

Make a decision based on your own pocket book and, for increased resell value for future sellers.
