Antenna broke.
We had a ****load of freezing rain today and well I cleaned it all off and the antenna was working fine. Then after work I go start my car to let it warm up and my antenna's hanging there. So yeah. I don't use the radio anyways but lets say I wanted to replace it. How much you guys think that'd cost? Hmm I wonder if it'd be possible to repair it.

So from the sounds of it the antenna mast just popped out. Mine did the same thing awhile back. I just replaced the mast which was about $45.00 and was good to go. Its not a hard job to do yourself either.

Hmm yea maybe. I still hear the motor going when I turn my stereo on/off. Doesn't pull the cord in though.

You just need a new mast like it was mentioned before. Good luck.

Alright thanks. Guess I'll have to find one of those and fix that on a half decent day.

My dad was driving my car out the garage as it was opening and caught it on the door.. it bent and popped out of the mast. I bought a whole assembly for $65 from someone on here, it literally took 10 minutes to replace the whole thing. Pull the carpet/cardboard stuff back and check yours out. If you replace the whole thing, there's two nuts, a plug, and the antenna wire. It's easy.

That's only part of the assembly, just an fyi.. You'll have to take the whole thing out and take it apart, then put that on somehow. Could be easy could be retarded I don't know, never messed with it.

All you would have to do is look in the How-To Documents and see how to do it.

antenna how to....
Earl is right...there is a great how to with pics!
My antenna mast would neither go all the way up or all the way down. I found it very irritating. Last Sunday I took the laptop outside to tackle the project following the how to...made the job a breeze. I now have a perfectly operating, and straight antenna... ![]() Kudos to whoever wrote the antenna how -to!
