FS: Gauging interest - 92 LS-L w/ 5Spd

My SVX needs work. Actually, it's beyond repair.

Unfortunately I was in a minor accident on my way to work that really hurt the SVX. I went off roading in the soft shoulder and side swiped the gaurd rail a little. But from that there is frame damage and the car does not track straight, plus now I have serious brake pulsation. The car is just not safe to drive (although runs and drives just fine).

With that said I'm looking at parting out my SVX or selling it as-is with the 5spd in it's running and driving condition. I can actually drive it wherever needed - she'll make it just fine. But remember, this isn't a fixer upper, more like a perfect parts car to swap into another SVX that needs some work.

Info:

78,400 miles
Engine runs strong
5speed has been installed for about 10k miles (from 04 WRX)
Interior is in good condition (aside from the dash - i tried to remove the stick on dash overlays - bad idea)
New Radiator (< 5k miles old)
Seats are in good condition

Bad:
Brake pulsation
Frame damage
Needs pass front abs sensor
throw out bearing is making noise (goes away when clutch is pressed)
driveshaft needs to be replaced (sometimes vibrates off the line - ONLY off the line, not at highway speeds)
body damage (bumpers, drive fender, drivers quarter)
salvage title

I'd prefer to get rid of the whole thing in its running/driving condition. But if I must I might just part it out. Looking to sell soon.

So, any takers? You can check it out if you'd like....I still drive her everyday to work ...i dont want to get rid of it but it's just not safe and I don't have time to swap the parts into a deserving svx ...hopefully someone else does.

UPDATE: 4/21/2006: BAD QUALITY PICS

if you decide to part it, let me know how much you want for the wheels. I loved those things when I saw it. I can give u a set of stockers to keep it rolling or to sell with it

Tom

P.S. sorry to hear about the accident. Plan on getting another or no?

I actually have 3 sets of wheels for the SVX. I have the rims but I know at least one is bent. If you'd like em you can have them with the tires.

I really do want to keep the SVX ...they're cheap and they're fun to drive. I just need a daily driver. I'd prefer to keep my svx and use it to restore another but I don't have the space for it.

I'll get another one eventually...prolly a '97

......THAT is a bummer man. a dead low mileage pearl done in for good..

Super super ambitious project...mike621 has a shell that is possibly good, sitting in my yard...all youd have to do is switch everything from yours to it.....
Wait, nevermind, that shell has like..the super unreversable "Hey, Im supposed to be turned into a cube already" title...

I suppose but it would need a lot of work. Did you see the bad list?

I might be buying an Acura TSX. Lemme tell you - wow, what a difference, and not a good one...honestly the SVX is a heck of a lot more fun to drive.

I'll get another one eventually. If no one is interested in mine I was thinking about gutting it and turning it into a beast.

Hey Mike, sorry to hear about the car. Buy mine! (actually, I'm going to PM you)

Actually, Mike621 may be looking into getting rid of his trannyless pearl, as he just towed another home last night.

Stay 95 at the max year, because it's alot easier to deal with than an ODBII car if you're doing the swap.

I was thinking about driving down to reading with my SVX. Maybe someone will be willing to take it off my hands

I picked up my TSX yesterday. Wow, what a difference. I'm used to the low end SVX torque that's missing in the tsx ...and AWD is definitely the best. But it's real nice and smooth which is what I need right now.

I'd like to get at least $2,000. It might sound high but the trans itself cost that much and the car still does run and drive.

Any offers?
