FS:92 SVX LSi

1992 SVX Lsi
149,500 miles
$2,600

I am the second owner and have all service records for the vehicle, which would be passed on.

I am selling this car for a few reasons. I have a one year old little girl and this car is not the best with small children. Also, I have too many cars, (4 registered and insured at the moment) I need to downsize a bit.

Details:

1992 SVX LSI, burgandy (claret) in good condition. 149,500 miles, Engine runs good, car shifts smoothly.

Interior in good condition. Leather not as soft as 'new' leather. Swuad leather in good shape.

Stock stereo, CD player and power antenna work fine. Ac works fine.

Brand new tires (cost $600), new alternator (cost $200), new brake pads, new front window, new window switch cluster drivers side door.

Everything works but keyless entry. (it needs a security module) ($100 part)

No rust, no large dents. There is a fair amount of paint chips and dings.

There is a slight shudder when braking. Very small tear on edge of passenger seat. The headlights are yellowing (can be buffed out). Small amount of play when putting into gear. RIms have paint peeling a bit. Sunroof works fine but need a little push when first being opened. Exhaust is bit throughty, perhaps needs donut gasket?

To see pictures go here:

I am located in Vermont.

If you are seriously interested, do a search for all my posts to get very, very detailed information about the car. This will detail any issues I had or though I had (I did own a 1995 red SVX for a short time so don't mix them up.)

Thanks
Tapper

Tapper,
You say the SVX isn't that great with a small child, but I see you also have XT's which sure can't be better, why not sell one of them instead??

I am probably going to get an early ninetys legacy or something for my family car. My wife has a honda CRV.

Yes i have too many XTs. They are my toys that I play around with. I have decided to continue to play with them instead of the SVX.

The exterior has a lot of imperfections -- but the car is solid with no rust other than one little surface spot on driver door. (see in pics)

It could probably use rotors to get the shudder out of braking. Or maybe they can be turned?

As I mentioned the drivetrain has some play in it. When you move the shifter from park to drive it take a moment for it to engage. The dealer said alot of cars do this. So I drive the car with care as i have since i have owned it. Don't misunderstand, now and then I must floor it at 55 to quickly get up to 100 , but I wouldn't rev the engine and throw it in drive either.

Exhaust is a little loud, but not that bad. I just got inspected no problem.

It is a decent SVX for reasonable money. I paid $3400 a couple of years ago. I have put about 10, 000 miles on it. I have probably put about $2 - 3000 into it.

That is the scoop. Full disclosure to any potential buyers.

a waaa

I just put an ad in three local newspapers.

So far I have had two calls from parents wanted a car for their 16 year old. I told them both......." too much car for such a youngen"

Then this lady just left me a message. She wants a subaru..........she says.........an SVX?, is that like an SUV type car.......

looks like I will be keeping the car.

Oh come on, my dad was driving a 65 GTO when he was 16. Granted he flipped a couple of cars, he's still alive.

Peach,
Are you on the www.XT6.net board?

As I'm sure a few members there would be interested to know if you have access to parts for the XT's.....

(sorry Ken for going off topic.....but a free bump for your car at least )
