H6-3.3 and AWD Badge Options

I have obtained the H6-3.0 and AWD badges from a Subaru Outback, and I have modified them to show H6-3.3.

All I need to work out now is where to place them!

I have come up with four possible locations on the rear panel and the bootlid.

..........what do you think?

..........or do you think that the SVX looks better without the badges?

Option 1:

Option 2:

Option 3:

Option 4:

Option E: No badges.

Cars are designed by automotive designers without badges. When they get stuck in the showroom, they usually have some crappy badges stuck on them to advertise the engine, or promote name recognition..... either way, they were not intended to be glued onto the design. Hence, most cars come with badges... the SVX, being a very 'unique' automobile, came from the factory practically badgeless.... CLEAN.... SIMPLE.... ELEGANT.... NO BADGES!

But then it didn't sell so well, so in the later years the goobered up the design by adding unnecessary badges to improve brand/model recognition, and advertise the engine.

So I say put them on ebay and keep driving a factory debadged clean automobile.

I second the motion.

The SVX draws plenty of looks without the badges. Why mess with it, and clutter it up?

My humble 2 cents

If you're set on using them I like option #2. Much more subtle on the boot lid.

I agree that #2 looks the best/most subtle. I only question whether you can fit it in such a small space.

Of course, when I'm finished with it, my car will have a JDM emblem and rear center light to further "enigmazie" it.

(I made up a new word, sweet)

I liked the first one better. I bought a subaru badge off ebay and im gonna put it on the back of the SVX. Its SUBARU with a black back ground written in silver. I remember we had one on the GL wagon my dad used to have.

that would definately clear up the confusion when you have the car towed. most truck drivers arn't sure weather its AWD or not. i lost a tranny that way.

if it were free id consider haveing NO. 2 but i wouldn't pay for something that doesnt make it faster or impervious to radar and lazer. or sound better, but that adds hp.

I like the second one, and I also prefer people to know what's under my hood.

Thanks to everyone for their input!

I have decided - after much thought - to leave the badges off!

I find it interesting however, that if you look at any early 90's AWD Subaru, you will find an AWD badge on it................

.......unless it is an SVX!
