Shift Kit? Modified tranny?

More interesting observations on our new machine...

I have noticed that at a relaxed pace, the 1-2 upshift is really powerful, it basically slams into gear...2-3 and 3-4 are almost unnoticeable. When i give her a little excercise, usually when the ECU goes to "power mode" or just under relatively hard acceleration, the 1-2 upshift along with all the other shifts, are virtually unnoticeable. from Park to Drive, or Park to Reverse, the tranny seems normal and in perfect health. Also, i checked the fluid, there is plenty in there and it still looks brand new.

So what does this mean? Is this the way the tranny is supposed to be? Or is this a shift kit or some sort of mod?
