Subs shaking

Hey,

Since I have my subs in the trunk and new speakers, everything in the back shakes, is there anything to put back there to stop this? If so can you tell me, any other ideas also?

Roger

Turn it down?

sorry, can't help myself sometimes.

There are the traditional dynamat, brownbread, second skin products to damp vibrational sounds. Hondas (which are prone to be rattle traps with big sound) respond to expanding foam strategically placed. The SVX has a lot of panels with damping material not well attached. When I've taken off my rear side panels and the rear window package tray I found the damping sheets just lying there, no longer adhering to the body. Might also make sure a previous owner didn't pull a panel off and leave out some of the attaching clips.

It's almost impossible to stop rattling/shaking without spending a ton of money..........aside from doing ghetto structural reinforcements.

SVXWA: THE AWP's?!?! That's interesting....assuming you have these subwoofers:
http://www.audiobahninc.com/products...mpression.html

How do they sound? I was thinking about these because they're very versatile with their shallow depth.

Oh body you don’t want to know.

1st. I made costume box in my school, Box is about right side and fits inch to inch in SVX
It has 2 ports inside of each chamber. Each chamber is about 1.7 cub ft.
Subs are about 1200 RMS.
My amp is 2000 RMS.
They are crazy.... Makes very deep sound that my back windows jumps with roof lol.
I have 2nd battery in truck and Cap. I think its still not enough.

They only problem in svx that it’s very sound proof.
With all the closed doors and windows sound gets 60% lower.

Ill take some pictures soon I have nice setup.

And the subs are great; when I saw magnets I was like "Demn" They like the size of the woofer. 25 pounds each
Before I had 2 infinity perfect 12. they where ok. but this setup ownz.
I Got both woofers of ebay for $360 bucks. Now they are $410 don’t know why they jump in price.

Whats all of your stuff tuned to? I'm currently in the process of building mine and I'm just wondering some of the box sizes that people are putting in their trunks.

I agree with Audiobahn's......they pound.

I have 2 ALUM12Q (Sound Quality) subwoofers on a single JBL BP1200.1 1200w amp.

The amp was tested by car stereo review putting out about a little more than 700 watts RMS PURE POWER on the bench.

I wound up hitting 146dB on the SPL meter at work. I was QUITE impressed considering, as you said, the SVX retains a lot of sound and also the subs are designed for SQ, not SPL.

Audiobahn all the way

Audiobahn all the way here too as well. Two AW1208T Flame compression subs (1500watt RMS @ 1 ohm) each with their own A1300HCT high current mono block amp pumping out 1200 watts RMS @ 1 ohm. well, Two batteries in trunk, and a 6 farad bank capacitor( ACAP601Q), feeds all the power they can take. Coupled with ABC600 series components up front, and AS69Q's out back with an A4601T class a/b putting out 75 watts RMS per channel...yeah, it hurts...and it cost $$$
