Ball joint to control arm bolts...

Where can I get the nut? No luck from Subaru or local places.

I imagine it's a standard nut you can get at an auto parts store. I don't remember anything special about it.

023510006 Nut Self Lock $2.74
20201PA020 Bolt $2.26

They are the same self locking (mutilated threads) as the front sway bar linkages use.

What do you mean no luck at Subaru? Are you looking for something that's in stock? Then you are probably out of luck.

Were these nuts and bolts I wasn't supposed to reuse, Doug? I had to pull my ball joints off the control arms to get the front axles out of the front diff.

No luck as in they had no listing for it. Who stops when they don't have it in stock??

Are you positive they're the same?

They are the same according to the parts diagrams. They have the same part number.

I dunno. I don't have the manual handy. Generally I have seen the FSM warn you not to reuse self locking nuts in the rear suspension. I have reused them with over 100,000 miles and no failures........yet

They will be replaced when I rebuild my suspension soon.

I just didn't know they were 'self-locking' at all. The looked normal to me...

I think that "Self Locking" means that they came from the factory seconds box and the threads aren't cut perfectly clean and aligned. That way they bind when you install them and wont wobble loose
