Gratitude...
I just need to take a moment to say thanks to every member of this board, past and present. Since before we bought the LSi in March of '01, I have had all of you to turn to every time I needed information about anything related to the SVX. Before purchase, research info. Since purchase, dozens of things.
Today, I had the battery on my mind, as it had run down overnight. While it was on the charger at the neighborhood auto shop, I came here to search old posts on the general subject of batteries and, as always, found a bunch of info (not the least of which was "make sure the stereo cover is open before you reconnect the terminals"; look up the post if you want to know why) as well as a link to another site with a bunch more stuff about auto batteries that I didn't know. A couple of weeks ago, I stood here with my brand new hood lifters in my hand and no idea how to get the ball fittings off the old ones: there was Earl, who had already done this particular repair, with his patented removal / installation method! Before that, I was shopping for a set of OE wheels and there was Mychailo with a set for sale that he’d taken off his beautiful Laguna Blue, and just a day’s drive away from me as well. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks to you all for being here, for being a resource, and thanks to the those that built and those that maintain this board. It’s a touchstone to other owners of this truly fabulous car and I am glad to be one of you. |

That is why we all love this site. It is awsome to have a FAMILY here as well. It takes a pretty special car to bring so many wonderful people together from all over the world who smile at the mention of "SVX". I have had the opportunity to make a few trips across the US after getting a car, and to have members open their homes to me which was truley special. I have made life long friends (I hope) by doing this as well. It only makes me want to travel to those areas again, or to have them come here so I can open my home to them as well. It is hard to explain what this site is to others without experiencing it. I too thank the wonderful members of this great site for all of the help and encourgement I have gotten. Thanks

Well, Earl, if I'm ever "passin' through" your great state, I'll surely stop in for the night. YES - I'll sleep in the garage. In fact, in your case, I'd RATHER sleep in the garage! Ron. (counting SVX sheep).

It would be my pleasure to have you stop by Ron. I can take you up Chuckanut Drive - a road with lots of curves that any SVX would love.

I think I've said all I can say about the great people here. And even though I've said it, it can never be said enough. I'm proud to be a part of this little world, and to know, either through the ether, or in person, the people involved with it. Thank you, seasvx, for making the network useful, as well as adding your personality to the mix of malcontents assembled here.

i think a lot of us feel that way, or at least should.
i think almost everyone on here is great, smart, and always well-meaning. there is a lot of support not just advice and answering questions, we not only care about the car, but we care about you! Kelli

Ron you old bugger,
Sorry I did not notice that I had blown off five hundred ! Thanks to you for noticing. What is that talk about good winds and bad ( or is it ill winds ) and things that do not go bump in the night. Did you smell something ? S.W. here at the moment 10 - 15 knots. Oops watch out for the moderate bloke ! Not telling this time. *<)

Aww
It really warms my heart to know that the overall objective I was trying soooooo hard to reach has been achieved! With Aredubjay as my witness, just over 2 years ago I started this with only two ojectives in mind.
1: To make a unified place for SVX enthusiast to hang out. This collective location was to provide a place to make the overall experice of owners, (past, current, and future) better and full of information. 2: Get away from the msg 40 bug, slow service, pop-up and "in your face" ads. Without a doubt, we ALL have succeeded in this goal. As the admin I thank you all for your support and I thank you for making this place so FULL of warmth and information.
