Not autolevelling.

The Euro ones have a switch on the console beside the shifter. Just like this one on Sonar's car:
http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/files/Sonar/14598.jpg

Essentially it has 4 settable positions, which you can adjust to compensate for heavy loads in the car causing the lights to aim high.

The switch activates a servo motor behind the headlamp unit which raises and lowers the dipped lamps.

I am not used to driving a car with this much HP.

It is like getting hit with a shovel.

It is so much fun!

Phil, I just twigged it.

Your approach was right, just thinking about the wrong loom. Bet you a Dollar to a pound of Matsuwhatsit that they are using the live wire for the front fogs to power the dipping servo motor. THAT is why they put a blanking plate instead of the fog lamp into the glass headlights.

You might also find out that there is a legislation problem somewhere in the equation also. Maybe the German TUV regs don't allow positioning of the fog lights right beside the headlights or something? [I often get flashed by fools thinking I have two lamps on, so must be on main beams]

-Sounds very odd..... the EG33 with stock "everything" should easily spool up that turbo earlier!

-Are you sure that the wastegate is really closing tight?
-There are no leaks in the exhaust or the "charge"/pressure side?

Are the manifolds designed for "flow" or "pulse"?
A "pulse" driven turbo often spools up faster/earlier than a "flow" driven.

pure insanity mentioned something about additional injectors added with a controller for the turbo in SVXtasy, can't we just use bigger injectors instead?? and what is this system used???

SVXtasy is using two auxillary fuel injectors mounted in the intake manifold. The injectors are controlled with an aftermarket controller. This is a very inexpensive and simple way to add more fuel when the turbo spools up.

with his experience he found it easier to control the extra injectors than it would be to control larger injectors..
any car can use bigger injectors with the proper management... its what kind, and how hard to setup that management is

When I started the project I could not find a good inexpensive way of controlling the larger injectors. Looking back I should have just gotten a set of Nissan 370cc and used Greddy EManage. EManage is a grate tool; it will also take away the problem I am having with the car stalling with the external BOV. Witch I can also fix by learning how to drive the car better. If have have any $ after I come back form x-mas I will look in to buying injectors and an Emanage.

You may want to consider one of the Greddy Profec electronic boost controllers too. It likely to be the only way to control the boost spikes.

Your two problems of boost coming on too strong and not spooling fast are of the same beast i believe....there are ways around this though.
The car is running incredibly rich down low. The engine is bogging itself a bit and then when boost is created it fits into its power band and takes off like a bandit...and over boosts. This is typcially of na>turbo cars that we come into the shop without tuning. An hour or 2 of tuning(and a boost controler allowing you to control the gain of the valve like mychailo said) will make for a beast. If you would like to borrow a center diff and a rear diff to make the car rwd i can lend those to you as well.

It uses a hot wire Phil, though a Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor would be better for blown engines. Easier to accomadate the rise to boost.
