getting rid of fuel smell in concrete
Getting rid of fuel odor from concrete. Seems that my TVR sprung a leak in one of its fuel ines during the hibernation months and with my accident i didn't know. Well all said and done it lost about 10 gallons of fuel which evaporated and sunk into the concrete in the garage. Have been airing out for a month or so but now that the salt is disappearing from the roads I'm ready to get the car out and try to get rid of the odor. Haven't been able to use the open flame heat b/c of it.

Hi Ben! Try this link. I would think a product like "oileater" which is safe for concrete would be good to emulsify into a watermix then soak with water and extract...I want to say with wet/dry vac, but fear the possibility of the vac motor brushes arcing and maybe a flammable environment. Maybe rags or ? to extract?

Re: getting rid of fuel smell in concrete
You would have thought all the fuel leaked out. nope he had me cut the fuel line to fix it "there shouldn't be anything in it anymore" he says. Nope fuel all over the place and down my arm.
Still smells like fuel huh? I'll get a pack of Camels and i'll be over to help you.

Re: getting rid of fuel smell in concrete
You live in Lancaster, I would think that the smell of fuel would be preferable to the smell of manure.
