AMR coilover install question.
I've had my coilovers for about a month now, but just haven't gotten around to installing them.
Andy even hand delivered them to me.(He happened to be in the neighborhood) I do have pretty decent mechanical ability, but I just have one question. Do I need to compress the springs on the old struts before I can remove them?

Re: AMR coilover install question.
YES!!!!!!!
UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE BEHEADED BY THE OLD SPRING SHOOTING OFF INTO SPACE. Even at 130 inch pounds the rears have alot of energy. The fronts have more energy at 160 inch pounds.

Re: AMR coilover install question.
Thanks. Good to know before hand.
I wasn't sure since I'm going to remove the whole strut and spring assembly as a unit.

Re: AMR coilover install question.
You don't need to compress springs to remove the assembly..

Re: AMR coilover install question.
Chuckls is correst. If you remove them as an assembly you can just unbolt them.
Sorry for freaking out. There is a now ball-less dead guy in Pittsburgh who tried to remove the springs on a Mercury in about 1972. THAT image doesn't just go away.

Re: AMR coilover install question.
Thanks again.
After I posted, I checked the FAQs and found the strut removal pdf. Guess I should have checked there first.
