Re: What would you buy for $42k
I just cringed at the thought of paying property tax on 40 cars.

Re: What would you buy for $42k
You could sink the $42k into an SVX, never to see it again!

Re: What would you buy for $42k
Yep, that'd be my plan. Lol
You'd never see the return if you wanted to sell it, but if you wanted to keep your SVX until it's no longer feasible to drive because everyone else has flying cars and roads are obsolete then this is right up your alley!

Re: What would you buy for $42k
In over 10 years of SVX ownership I don't think I've spent $42k on them.

Re: What would you buy for $42k
I am pretty sure that 42K would buy a few things. Since Subaru won't build anything remotely like a new SVX...
Maybe a used 997 Targa 4S. Otherwise: 1: 997 Carrera 4S cabriolet. 2: GTN Automotive targa-style hard top. 3: custom work to remove the folding cloth top, and convert the rear part of the interior over to coupe/targa configuration, and affix the GTN targa roof to the tonneau cover panel directly. Something like this:

Re: What would you buy for $42k
The SVX was called an affordable Carrera 4 in 1992.
And they are somewhat similar, just with the body on backwards for one of them. It is a matter of conjecture which one has the backwards body.

Re: What would you buy for $42k
Let's nobody kid ourselves here. It's the SVX that's backwards. 60/40 weight distribution...
