OK....I read all of the post I could find about the AWD issue. Now I'm totally confused. Do I want the 10amp fuse in or out. I replaced the rear diff, half shafts and wheel bearings when my kid blew the rear end up. I now get the LED telling me FWD and the power light comes on everytime I start the car. I'm not sure that anything is wrong with the car but don't want to screw something up by my lack of knowledge about this car. Only owned it for 4 months. When I stand on the throttle it spins the front tires big time...don't see any tire spin from the rear tires. Sorry for being so lame about the svx..love the car, just don't know much about it...thanks...pat

You want the fuse out of the FWD fuse slot. The reason your FWD light is coming on is because you have the fuse in the FWD slot. Move the fuse to one of the "dummy" slots in the middle of the fuse box instead.

Oh yeah, and if your power light is flashing after you start the car (coming on once is normal, flashing isn't), this is probably just because you haven't cleared the codes from the transmission computer after you had the rear end repaired. Check the how-to documents for how to clear the codes.

its a long shot.... but it sounds like the mechanic put the fuse in because the solenoid C failed and is now throwing the trans codes(power light blinking) as a temp fix, he put the fuse in so the car wouldn't bind

I read before that the mechanic as always supposed to put the FWD fuse in while working on the car and then take it out when its done

That is bad information.
You only install the fuse if you absolutely have to.
Like if you have a flat tire, you have to install the spare on the front of the car, (and install a stock tire on the rear if the flat was on the rear) the fuse allows the car to temporarily be driven to the tire store, as a FWD without burning up thr F/R clutches.
