Re: Motor week
And Subaru/Toyota will let those rumors stick around even if it's never going to happen, just because it will keep people talking/excited about the cars.

Re: Motor week
The dumbest thing about magazine racing (if you can pin it down to just one thing) is that the numbers are based on performance extracted by professional drivers. How easy it is to get that performance out of those cars for the common Joe isn't reflected in those numbers.
"My car can lap the Nurburgring in 7 minutes." Not under your control, hamfist. Save it.

Re: Motor week
its all relative. if your coming from a Chevy Aveo, yes the FRS/BRZ would seem like a peppy little sportscar. if your coming from something with considerably more powerz, your going to feel disappointed.
i'm sure it would be fun to drive for a week or so, then it would get old for me. on the other hand, i see people on the EVO forums using giant turbos and built blocks to get upwards of 500hp. that's great if you go to the track on a regular basis, but i'm guessing most of these folks just drive to work/school and to the grocery store.

I'm not saying an rs is slow, but based on the numerous shootouts on the track, a brz or frs will put an rs behind it. Another note is that the BRZ has to shift from 2nd to 3rd at just under 60mph. It cuts the number for 60 short. What surprises me on the ft86 forum is the number of people dumping evo's, sti's, wrx's, and even godzilla to get in a BRZ/FRS. I think they are a bit crazy, but they all seem very happy with their new car.
