Thanks for posting the pic. I'm sure a lot of people will be interested to see it. I had put a level picture from in front of the car during installation to try to show how the alternator fits up but your picture with the pan does a lot better job of it.

Looks good to me so I am going to go with the alternator as you guys suggest, just wish I could sort out my five speed then I need the new high lift struts (2in lift plus higher tyres 1in etc) that Mychailo is getting built for me and the SC should be one hell of a dirt car. Might take it for a run across the Simpson dessert.

As a few of you know but most of you don't I have been extensively working on the throttle enrichments, increments, and decrements. I'm finished now and it really seams to have paid off. Throttle response is better than stock and the software is really running awesome. Having that all wrapped up I moved on to the cold start tables and I do belive I have finished those as well. She cranked right up this morning at about 50 degrees. Assuming I get the same result tomorrow then the new stage 3 software is done. I'm sending it out to Mike Monday. If anybody else (who purchased stage 3) wants me to go ahead and send them the fuel injectors, maf meter, maf meter wiring harness, and stage 3 software just let me know and I will. That way you can go ahead and install them ahead of the rest of the install. Stage 2 customers have about cleaned me out of my stock of mass air meters but I'll order more Monday.

It also looks like I'll finish the rest of the steel parts this weekend. I finished the machine work and paint prep earlier tonight. I'm going back to get the first oven load of parts powder coated tonight so that I can finish the powdercoating tomorrow. I'll probably post some pictures later tonight and then somemore tomorrow after all the powder coating is done.

That means when I start back to work again on thursday I'll be putting the next manifold together and figuring out the new bypass valve manifold.

Ok, the stage 3v1 software is officialy done. It's going out with the official printed labels and serialization to MikeCG on monday. Anyone else (who ordered stage 3) and wants to go ahead and switch over the engine management let me know and I'll get it out to you.
Serial #'s will be distributed in the order that orders were taken.

The steel parts are also done.

I cut one of the crank pulleys down for Mike today. I went about as small as I can go with the pulleys I've already made. The groove in the back limits how small I can go. If we end up needing smaller crank pulleys I will have to start with new stock and we'll have to cut the lip off the timing covers that the groove is for.

This pulley is 3.875" With the 2.3" supercharger pulley we get a 1.685 rpm to supercharger input shaft ratio. Since the compressor is a 1.6 liter compressor and the 3.3 engine presents a 1.65 liter volume that's .97 * 1.685 = 1.63 volumetric ratio. That gives us a theoretical 9.3 lbs of manifold pressure. What the actual pressure turns out ot be will be effected by heat which will increase it, valve overlap which will decrease it, and vacuum on the intake side caused by restrictions such as the air filter which will decrease it. So we will try it and see what we get and how it works.

mike, Ever think about just reducing the pulley size for just the SC and PS. Make the ps pulley a lil smaller. It just a thought and I would imagine this has already crossed your mind and there is a reason you have decided not to do it

Because then it would spin faster and increase boost.
He could make the SC pulley bigger, but it already has clearance issues with the hood.

PS pulley, I don't know what that would do.

If the reduction over the stock or original size isn't too much I don't see why he couldn't do it with his current machinery.
Hell if Unorthodox can do it the Lan man can.

It's like Christmas for me today. I got 3 packages this morning. 1 from Tom with my wheel key that I forgot to take with me, 1 from Dayle with the B-pipe and MAF adapter for a cone filter, and most importantly 1 from Mike with the finalized Stage III software. I'm going to have an interesting weekend. Especially if the pulley makes it on Saturday, too.

Word from MikeCG is that the 3.875" crank pulley is a winner. With that in mind I went ahead and cut a batch of power steering pulleys. Instead of cutting recesses in the back of the pulleys for the bolt heads I went ahead and cut them smaller in order to maintain the exact stock ratio with the 3.875" crank pulley, cut the back of the pulley down a little, and cut the bolt heads down a little.

I haven't gotten to the next manifold yet but that's what's on deck for this week.
