They BEAT that beautiful Chevrolet to scrap iron!! It had swastikas and KKK, painted all over it. there was not a single piece of glass left, the duel antennas were twisted into pretzels, the roof was smashed down from idiots jumping on it....

I didn't care WHO got the car!! I just wanted to see it for the rest of my life SOMEWHERE!!

The klan saw to it that the last time I saw the car, it BROKE MY HEART!!!!

I looked up a picture of that 2 door wagon. That was a sharp looking vehicle. But... then it was a 57 Chevy. Of course it was sharp looking.

Now look up 1961 Ford Sunliner.. You can see what I drove 35 years ago and last month when I moved it to the new garage... It's in primer this year and last year, so I don't have any recent pics.. I have to get it under paint before July, because my 35th class reunion is coming this year and I drove it to my graduation. It only has 298k on it, so it should make it the 5 miles to the place....Mine has always been medium blue metalic w/ a black top.

I spent over an hour looking through

, yahoo, e-bay etc I found 2 pics of the 61 ford. One was a t-shirt for sale for 22.$ american and the other was a factory 'promo' pic from the dealer. All the other pics were Falcons or T birds.

I guess that if I want to see one, I'll have to go throw up my garage door and look at the specimin that I have preserved for 35 years.

Classy car. You drove the very same car to your graduation? Not many people can say that 35 years later...Take care of it!

Bought another garage to keep it in.. Will be closing on the deal this friday,( but I have already dumped $5k into it while I waited on the lawyers) 61 has been stashed there since october.. See ' as the weather improves ' thread.... 'need more storage'

Spent 2 hours 'googling 61 fords found 2 wagons out west, a picture, a tee shirt, a falcon and 2 t birds. No Galixie Sunliner. Found some pics of the Starliner ( hard top)

I guess it must be a very rare piece.

i (we) had two hyundai elantras but lost one in teh divorce.
