I took the drivers side cover off before April 2004, when I installed my first SC. The rest of the covers came off when I installed my custom overdrive/underdrive crank pulley just after Reading this year.
Why didn't I check it? I never thought I had to.
It did not run badly before, and there does not seem to be that much change now.
I will do more tuning, and get back to the track.
Tom

BTW, Thanks Tom.

Hey, Svxfiles' car was only fractionally slower - heck you both ran a 15.2 in the 1/4 on a 99* (heat index) day!!!

Definitely wait until it's somewhat cooler. I should be up for a few runs at the track sometime in late August. Hopefully temps will be in the 80* range by then...

Re: Mason Dixon Dragway - Test-n-Tune - Saturday, June 25th!

Yesterday and today were The Cumberland Airport Autocrosses.
Yesterday Rufus AKA The Tire Shreader and his friend Pete and radarwiz drove The Racer!
Elezar (the power steering feels fine to me) did VERY well with a 84.215 clean run on the 0.86 MILE LONG AUTOCROSS!
Nothing out of all the stuff that I have done to The Racer exploded/failed/cought fire. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The next Cumberland Autocross, now renamed after Jake Moran
will be on July 13th-14th.
Who is in?

Shoot, we had a good time even when they refused to open the place up! Nice straight road right outside the place!!

Think you could bring yourself to push that daily driver of yours a bit?

Bill
p.s. and yes, the hood is almost done so I can get the engine dyno tuned!

Care to explain the "Tire Shreader" nickname for Rufus?

Bill

Well after talking with OT regarding one of his complaints that the racer lacked "enough" power steering "Tire Shreader" is the best on a whole slew of names I'd use for Rufus at the moment... most of which describe a certain female body part.
