front drivers window wont go up.
My front driver's window is stuck down and the switch panel is screwed. Can someone please explain to me how to get the window up so it doesn't stay open all night.

Re: front drivers window wont go up.
Pop off the door panel. You'll see the motor assy. with a wiring connector that then leads to the door switch. If the motor is good, but switch bad, you can disconnect the motor and jump +12V to the leads on the connector from your battery with the neg side grounded. You'll effectively bypass the switch, fuse, everything, so make sure you disconnect when the window reaches the top because the auto-off won't work. That should seal it up for the night.

Re: front drivers window wont go up.
Thanks man, I really appreciate the reply. I just got the window motor today from a junkyard. I put the motor in and it went down and never went back up.

Re: front drivers window wont go up.
Is there an Alan head on the motor you can crank it up with? I'd want to test it electrically though, cause cranking it all the way closed would suck.

Re: front drivers window wont go up.
My passenger side switch is picky. It goes down great, but usually wouldn't go up using driver side button. I did however find out that if you press down on the pivoting end of the switch while trying to put window up it works. I assume its worn and not connecting properly anymore. Good luck and hope it works for you too.
