new to subaru?

Hello all,

My name is Luke Miles. I own a Land Rover repair shop in Norcross Georgia call "THE SHOP". I have been a fan of the SVX for years and since being n the car biz i had a 94 FWD SVX fall into my lap. It needed a motor so I picked it up cheap. A few months later I bought a 92 SVX from a friend for 1000.0. with a slipping Trans.(shifting from 2nd to 3rd). Performed all the services on the car(including Lucas trans fix.) and I have been driving the car for a year now. I just found this forum. My brother is a subi fan as well(2000 2.5rs). I am interested in a manual swap, seat belt conversion, and turbo kit. Any suggestions? I am also looking for coilovers, sway bars and bigger brakes. Any help would be greatly appretiated. If any one needs Land Rover help feel free to give me a call. 678-352-4900.

thanks,

Luke

Gosh Luke, #1 post. You are welcome!

Did you know there was a Land Rover concept called the SVX??

Of the things you ask for, the first two you will find, turbo kit a problem. This is primarily because the standard CR is 10: 1, not good for turbo.

Anything's possible though!

Joe

Welcome Luke! I'm fairly new to the site myself, but there are more than a few people around here that know what they're talking about, so feel free to ask questions when you have them!

These cars are very SXVY, no about it!

As I put on our website, "Just because it's never been done before doesn't mean it CAN'T be done!"

That's why we have 5-speeds, 6-speeds, superchargers and 4.44 transmissions!

Thankfully, we all share the technology as it is developed.

Welcome, Luke. Hope to see you at Reading in April. H*ll, I hope to see everybody at Reading in April.

Earl, I actually had that in my post and edited it out before I posted it because I didn't want to get too off topic!

Has someone sorted out a seatbelt conversion I wasn't aware of?
Can someone link me to the promised land?

Thanks!

Somebody had to be first, that's the way of life!!

The 4's be with you sir.

I seem to recall there was already a 5 speed in existence in England before Huck built the first one in the world.

And there was probably one in Japan before that.

Actually, I believe the guy claiming that he did one first, was in Australia, and had no documentation to back up his claim...I at least documented my swap, so the rest of the SVX comunity could benifit from my labors

Yes you did, and started a trend!

I didn't know about the Australia one. Japanese one could be doubtful. They have stringent regulations over there, so changing anything from standard could be either expensive or absolutely prohibited.

The one thing I notice about the current [in the last year or so ] spate of mods is that nobody is either willing or bothered to produce actual dated and measured dyno runs proving the benefits of any upgrades.
