Rear shocks
Hi Guys-
My rear strut mounts need to be replaced soon. And the mechanic suggested to replace the shocks as well. I'm wondering if I should stick with the subaru shocks or some decent aftermarket ones. At this point I'm more towards aftermarket ones, but not sure which ones are good. Any thoughts?? Thanks guys!

Re: Rear shocks
As of right now, our only choises are a factory set at about $160.00 each,
or Koni's at $800.00 a set of four. Hopefully this will soon change.

Re: Rear shocks
Coil overs are springs, not shocks/struts.
So far coil overs are only for Koni's. And yes, there is another spring/strut place out there but they were like $3600.0 for a set of four and generally that is out of most SVXers price range.

Re: Rear shocks
I haven't looked for a while, but you should be able to get Koni rear inserts by themselves and cut your old struts yourself. Your mechanic can do it quite easily.
Koni part number s are: Front: 8610-1291 Rear: 86-2521 http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...highlight=KONI I think Dale sells them. http://svx-motorsport-accessories.st...net/index.html Also here: http://classicgarage.com/subsvx19fron.html

Re: Rear shocks
Cool...thanks guys for your input!
I think I just need 2 for the rear at this moment. Koni is always my favorite, but it's bit out of my price range...
